Caryn Curry, LCSW

Social Worker

Caryn Curry is a Social Worker and Mental Health Consultant for Lurie Children’s Center for Childhood Resilience (CCR). With almost 30 years of experience in the field, her work has included clinical practice, program development and management in hospital, residential, community and educational settings. As part of CCR, Ms. Curry builds capacity of schools and other child and youth-serving organizations to create trauma-informed, healing centered systems and practices. She provides consultation, training and coaching to partners, bringing a lens of cultural humility, responsiveness and equity to her relationships. Her work is grounded in the critical importance of adults building their social and emotional capacity to effectively educate and guide children toward success and well-being in school and life.  

Ms. Curry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Relations from Harvard University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Practice from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. She also holds certificates in Social and Emotional Intelligence for Leadership and Coaching from the Wright Graduate University for the Realization of Human Potential.
